Fun times in sunny San Diego. Obie was crawling and climbing everywhere. We went to the zoo where his favorite animals were the Lalas (gorillas), and he got to pet a real live goat. We got in lots of beach time, hung out with Yoni, Robbie, Rakeea, and Melila, and even saw Bubbie & Papa. 

One of Obie's favorite things to do these days (in addition of course, to rattling off every animal name he knows), is to climb up onto a bench where his trains/tracks sit. Perched up high, he lords over his trains.

As many of you know, bubbie is Yiddish for grandma and what my mom is being called by Obie. When bubbie was here last week, she taught Obie how to say 'gorilla.' As is clear in this video, Obie retains a lot.

We've been having some snowy days here -- not a ton of snow but it's stuck around for about a week. Definitely enough to impress our visiting Los Angelan. I've been taking Obie to daycare in his new little red sled that his Grandma got him for Christmas, towing him in it with Tikka's leash, and he gives me a big grin every time I turn around.
